03About

Who you'd be working with.

I've spent 4 years on the seam between product and infrastructure — close enough to the interface to care how it feels, close enough to the database to know why it's slow.

Most of my work has been at the point where a product stops being a prototype and has to survive real traffic, real money, and a team larger than three. That transition breaks things in predictable ways, and I've gotten good at seeing it coming.

I care about the unglamorous parts: migrations that can be rolled back, logs that answer the question you actually had, and code a new hire can read on their first afternoon.

Outside work I maintain a couple of open-source libraries, mentor two junior engineers, and take photographs of buildings nobody else finds interesting.
